Fourth Annual Pace and Pedal

Black River Memorial Hospital has scheduled the Pace and Pedal Duathlon at Wazee Lake Recreation Area. The date for this year’s event is Saturday, May 20, 2017, and the day features three separate events. The chip-timed duathlon begins at 8:00 a.m. and includes a 5.7-mile run and a 10.3-mile bike ride. Participants can enter individually or register as a team. The cost is $20 per person or $30 for a two-person team.

The second event, beginning at 8:30 a.m. is the 5k Wazee Color Fun Run/Walk. There will not be chip timing for this event but there will be a timing unit at the finish line for those who want to know their results. The cost for this event is $12 per person. Families are welcome to bring strollers.

The last event beginning at 10:00 a.m. is the 1-mile Youth Color Race. This event is free for youth 12 and under and registrants will receive a Jackson in Action race headband and a participant medal.

*Shirts are not included in the registration price but available to purchase until May 7, 2017 when registering.

Jackson in Action is a community coalition promoting healthy lifestyles for children, their families and the greater Jackson County area.
