The City of Black River Falls’ shared-ride taxi service will remain closed until mid-February 2023. The service was shut down on December 1, 2022 when the vendor contracted to operate the service, Mobility Transformation, Inc., ceased all operations in Black River Falls.
The City of Black River Falls released a Request for Proposals (RFP) this morning, December 16, 2022, for the shared-ride taxi service. The deadline for submissions is January 6, 2023. The city’s Source Selection Committee will begin evaluating the offers on January 10, 2023, and the estimated contract start date is February 17, 2023.
As previously noticed, a public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, December 21, 2022 to consider increasing all fares and mileage fees for the shared-ride taxi service. The public hearing will begin at 6:00pm at City Hall located at 101 S. Second Street. All interested parties are urged to attend.
