SCAM – Requests for Utility Bill Payments Over the Phone

The Black River Falls Municipal Utilities (BRFMU) has received information that a BRFMU customer received a phone call threatening disconnection of services unless the customer agreed to pay the balance due over the phone.

THIS IS A SCAM!! BRFMU does not phone customers and ask for payment over the phone. If you receive a similar call asking you to make a payment over the phone, DO NOT provide any information and hang up immediately.
